Bars are placed as per picture one after the other, till space is available.

The first bar is long a (integer), the second b (integer), the third a-1, then b-1, then a-2 and so forth.

Well, the question is... What is the length of all the bars?

The solution is very easy: all the bars cover the whole rectagle surface. Beeing the bars 1 high, the total length is simply the big rectagle surface, that is: a(b+1).
